Vanguard 1 Leadership exists because leadership performance is too important to leave to chance, effort alone, or incomplete approaches.

Leaders and organizations perform at their best when individual capability and organizational design work together. When leaders develop the judgment, presence, and analytical capacity their roles demand, and when the organizations around them are designed to support that performance, results follow.

Who Leads It

The Founder

Jerry Cook is a retired U.S. Air Force Colonel, A-10 Weapons School graduate, former CEO, and holds graduate degrees in Counseling and Leadership and in Strategy. His career spans military command, executive leadership, and the development of a proprietary methodology that integrates behavioral and systems-based approaches to leadership.

He founded Vanguard 1 Leadership to bring that integrated perspective to leaders and organizations operating in complex, high-stakes environments.

How We Develop Leaders and Organizations

  • Structured, one-on-one engagements for senior leaders, executives, and emerging leaders. Coaching develops individual leadership effectiveness and examines the broader conditions that determine whether leadership produces durable results. Engagements range from 6 to 12 months. Virtual, in-person, or a combination.
